About Us

What is Temraw?

Temra is the Arabic word for “date”. We’ve added the “W” in the end to emphasize our approach to raw, natural, and organic farming and products.

No matter where you are in the United States our fresh products can be delivered to your doorstep. Enjoy! And tell your friends about our natural and healthy products.

Every dream starts somewhere. Ours began on a small patch of land in Laveen, Arizona. Our founder, Abdullah, a devoted soccer player and coach at Arizona State University, had a vision: to create something pure, natural, and meaningful for his family and community. What started as a single humble farm grew over time, fueled by passion, patience, and a deep love for the land. Today, TEMRAW thrives across multiple farms in Laveen and Yuma, bringing the bounty of Arizona straight to your table.

“Temra” is the Arabic word for “date.” We added the “W” at the end to reflect our commitment to raw, natural, and organic farming. TEMRAW is more than a name; it’s a promise of purity, quality, and care in every product we offer.

Every jar of our raw honey and every box of our dates is the product of hands that nurture, hearts that care, and a family dedicated to sustainable, organic farming. We never compromise on quality because we know the food we grow is more than just a product; it’s a connection to the earth, to tradition, and to the people who enjoy it.

Today, TEMRAW enters an exciting new chapter under the leadership of Ned, who brings fresh energy and vision to the company. Inspired by Abdullah’s legacy, Ned is expanding the farms, exploring innovative sustainable practices, and sharing the authentic taste of Arizona’s honey and dates with even more families across the United States.

We are proud to share the sweetness of our labor with families nationwide. With TEMRAW, you’re not just enjoying raw honey and dates; you’re tasting a dream that grew from our hearts to your home.

From The Founder

I am an Iraqi man, raised among the palms of southern Iraq, surrounded by the warmth, generosity, and kindness of its people. Every time I saw a tall, proud palm tree, it seemed to speak to me about patience, dignity, and roots that cannot be broken.

When I moved to America, the thing I missed most was the palms, their shade that connected me to the land, and the scent that carried memories of home.

In 2009, I decided to bring a piece of my homeland to this foreign land. The dream was simple at first, yet profound in meaning: to create a grove that would remind me of Iraq and keep my roots alive, no matter the distance.

I traveled to Basra, the city of palms and generosity, and carefully selected four palm trees with the help of my family and loved ones. These were not just seedlings; they were memories of home, carrying in their roots the fragrance of the Tigris and Euphrates and the stories of our ancestors.

I brought them to Arizona, and there the story began. Together with my family, we planted the palms with hearts full of longing and pride. Every tree was a promise to continue, every drop of water a tear of homesickness. Over the years, the palms grew strong and bore fruit, as if rewarding our patience and our love for our homeland.

My family became the beating heart of the grove. We harvest the dates with our own hands, prepare them with love, and sell them with pride, a story of an Iraqi family carrying their homeland in their hearts to a distant land. Every harvest season, when we gather under the shade of the palms, it feels as though all of Basra is with us, in the taste of the dates, in the whisper of the wind, and in the warmth of our gathering.

Today, my dream has grown even bigger. I want to expand the grove, plant more palms, and make it a center for sharing Iraqi dates in America, a place where people come together to celebrate generosity, stories, and roots that never forget home.

I believe that the Iraqi palm tree never dies; it migrates and bears fruit wherever love and perseverance exist. And my grove in Arizona is living proof that home can thrive in the heart and blossom on any land.
